Our Mission

The Andhra Trades Wellness Association (ATWA) was established on June 28, 2019, in Edmonton, Alberta, as a non-profit organization dedicated to the wellness and well-being of tradesmen and their families.

Our association was born from a moment of crisis—the tragic passing of one of our tradesmen, Simhachalam Nunela, who suffered a brain stroke at Toronto International Airport. Community members traveled to Toronto to assist in transferring the body and facilitated the recovery of insurance and trades union benefits for his family.

Since then, ATWA has continued to stand by our members in times of need, raising over $38,000 in emergency support while fostering community bonds through wellness activities, volunteering, and family events.
